Perseverance landed February 18th, 2021 thanks to Jet Propulsion Labs(JPL), NASA, and consultant to the Perseverance mission, A. Miguel San Martín. His emotional reaction to the landing also filled his daughter Maddie with pride. She's grown up watching her dad land rovers on Mars five times before.

Although Miguel consulted for this mission, his lifetime of accomplishments at JPL has left an indelible footprint on NASA's space exploration for generations to come.
